Our Approach
Growing Food. Growing Minds. Growing Community.
At McMillian Farms, we believe learning happens best when your hands are in the soil. Our programs inspire the next generation through hands-on agricultural, STEM, and environmental education — giving youth practical skills in agriculture, conservation, technology, and community service while cultivating stronger veterans, stronger youth, and stronger communities.
Farm Workshops
Our seasonal farm workshops bring youth directly into the garden to plant, tend, and harvest real food. Students learn soil science, composting, seed saving, and what it truly means to grow something from the ground up.

- Small group learning environment
- Flexible scheduling for families
STEM & Drone Program
Our STEM Agriculture Program connects technology and farming in ways that inspire the next generation. Students explore drone technology for crop monitoring, data-driven growing techniques, and the science behind sustainable agriculture.

- Data collection and analysis
- Sustainable agriculture science
- Technology in modern farming
School Field Trips
Bring your class to the farm for an unforgettable field trip experience. Students tour our one-acre farm, meet our youth volunteers, learn about the Veterans First Food Program, and get their hands in the soil.
